Charges are expected in connection with a police pursuit last Monday.  The pursuit began in Jerseyville at about 10:15am Monday as Jerseyville police attempted to pull over a suspect that the police chief says had come to Jerseyville to sell heroin.  The driver fled at a high rate of speed on southbound Route 67, with the pursuit being terminated near Illinois 255.

Jerseyville Police Chief Brad Blackorby tells The Big Z they have been investigating ever since:

That was the second chase for the department in less than a week.  On February 4, a car was pursued on Illinois Routes 16 to Highway 111, eventually ending with the suspects getting away once they reached Godfrey.   They have been identified, according to Blackorby, as 42-year-old Troy E. Howard, 42-year-old Traci Kraushaar, and 52-year-old Timothy Reger.  All were charged this week with meth making in Madison County following an arrest at a house they share in Cottage Hills.  Blackorby says they will also be charged with retail theft, and aggravated fleeing and eluding police.
