The Bethalto Memorial Day Parade is celebrating it 55th year, and organizers are hoping for good weather and good crowds.  A ceremony that follows at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens will feature long-time educator and veteran Kirk Johnson as the speaker.  Johnson spent 31 years as a teacher, principal and coach in the Bethalto School District.

Ceremony M.C. Jeff Allsman says they have a back-up plan for the ceremony if the weather turns bad.
