School’s built in Illinois in the future may have an added measure of safety, if a bill working its way through the General Assembly becomes law. The Illinois House has passed a bill requiring that new school construction conform to the International Code Council and includes a storm shelter. State Representative Dan Beiser (D-Alton) supported the bill.
