An Alton man is facing up to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to firearm charges last week. 22-year old Cameron D. Matlock pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by previously convicted felon Friday in U.S. District Court.
Authorities say that Matlock was found to be in possession of a small handgun following the search of a vehicle on or about December 22nd, 2013. His sentencing has been scheduled for August 1st, at which time he faces up to ten years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both, up to three years of supervised release and a mandatory special assessment of $100.
