With the combined efforts of Ameren and Madison County Community Development, 100 new window-unit air conditioners will be available to needy residents this summer. The county agency, which assists low-income families, veterans and the elderly, will then distribute the units to qualifying individuals, according to the county’s Walter Hunter.
