The Illinois attorney general’s office is responding to news that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has discovered the security of the electronic information of more than 1,000 businesses has been compromised. It is proof that it is not just the major retailers which are vulnerable. “Government and health care; nonprofit entities” are also victimized, Lisa Madigan says.
