One man was trapped for about 30 minutes inside his pick up truck and the jaws of life were used to assist in removing him from the wreckage.  He was then airlifted by ARCH to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, while three others were taken by ambulance to hospitals in Alton.  One person was later airlifted to Barnes.  The names of those involved, and the extent of their injuries, have not yet been released.  The scene was cleared before 11am.
