Walk MS is the signature fundraising event of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This year’s walk will be held Saturday April 26th at Riverfront Amphitheater. It is replacing the Godfrey Walk that we have had in the past. We hope this event will once again bring together neighbors, families, and friends who care about the people living with MS in our communities and raise funds for MS. Multiple Sclerosis interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. Every hour in the United States someone is newly diagnosed with MS, as unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, although children as young as 2 are not being diagnosed.
