There will be a Brighton Community Blood Drive on Friday, May 13th at the Brighton Municipal Building from 2-7pm. Everyone who is eligible is encouraged to attend. To be eligible to donate blood, an individual must be at least 16 years old (16 year olds must have a signed parental consent form), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health.
Just one blood donation can save as many as three lives. Complimentary refreshments are provided to every donor. The process is relatively simple and takes about an hour of time. All donors must show ID.
If you are unable to donate, there are other ways to help; volunteers are needed to serve refreshments and greet donors and cookies are needed for the canteen. For any questions regarding eligibility, to make an appointment or to volunteer at the drive, call Kelly at 618-210-854one.
