The best kept secret in Madison County is the excellent free concert series located right here in Granite City. The Granite City Community Concert Band offers an extraordinary, family friendly, music series to all ages. Band members from many communities in our area bring superior musicianship and diversified backgrounds to the band. From professors and teachers, to postal workers, business professionals, students and retirees; many careers are brought together, crossing paths with the love of music. You may know many of the musicians and we are confident that you will thoroughly enjoy this band.
The next concert is the Veterans Concert, Friday November 6, at Grace Baptist Church and we think it's one of the most endearing and special concerts of the season. A tribute to America's military veterans and active duty troops, for the sacrificing service they so willingly put forth to keep America free, this concert inspires all.
Please help us honor these great men & women of courage and valor in America's salute to the nation, in tribute to the armed forces and military branches. In celebration to our American heroes, we will revel in Irving Berlin’s time honored Songs for America, and richly enjoy the Civil War Suite with many more traditional American favorites!
