James Maupin is one of Alton's greatest modern architects. Often compared to Lucas Pfeiffenberger in local architectural influence, he worked throughout Illinois for 50 years.
Several detailed, original Maupin designs of Alton structures in blueprint and tracing paper will be presented in the Ruth Means art gallery in Loomis Hall (including residential alterations, churches, and businesses). The initial opening exhibition will be free to the public.
