In the tradition of St. Francis of Asisi we are offering a blessing of the animals service at St. John's UCC in Brighton IL. Bring your dog/cat, large animal, bird, reptile etc. for a special outdoor service that honors and offers prayers of blessing to God for all of the creatures that we are love for companionship and our livelihood.
This is an outdoor service, so even a larger animal is welcome to attend. Please cage or leash your pet for safety. Even if you are not sure your pet would travel well or do well around other animals feel free to join us and bring a picture of your beloved pet for a virtual blessing.
A special offering for the Southbend Animal Shelter will also be taken to help care for animals that need a home.
