Grover "Kenny" Webb contracted a rare autoimmune nerve condition called Guillain Barre Syndrome in January 2015. He was initially totally paralyzed and on a ventilator, and hospitalized for 69 days. He has been slowly regaining the use of his limbs and speech, and is at home, undergoing intense therapy to increase his strength and mobility.
His wife Lisa (Chulka) quit her job to become his full-time caretaker. Although Kenny’s condition has improved, his recovery is a long, slow process that can take years. The Webbs have been without income for several months, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Webb Family Benefit Barbecue Saturday, Aug. 1 12 – 6 p.m. Holy Cross Church, 460 Church Street, Livingston IL
