A series of treaties negotiated by William Henry Harrison expanded the U.S. Territory north of the Ohio River to the Mississippi River. Mr. Wiant, an archaeologist and Director of the Illinois State Museum, Dickson Mounds has explored the Native American histories along the Illinois River Basin and shares his insights through lectures, teaching, and publications.
