Join Citizens for Modern Transit (CMT) at the finish line of its “Great Race: A Relay to the Rails” competition on May 21 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the outdoor plaza adjacent to Pi Pizzeria in downtown St. Louis, Mo – right on top of the Convention Center MetroLink Station. Those in attendance can cheer on multi-modal teams from both sides of the river as they cross the finish line after competing in a relay race during the evening commute that includes biking, carsharing, ridesharing and taking transit; join event organizers and participants as St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay congratulates the winning team; sample pizza and Lipton Sparking Ice Tea courtesy of Pi Pizzeria and the Y98 Lipton Sparkling Ice Tea Entourage; take advantage of drink specials; listen to music; and visit informational booths for freebies and to learn about the benefits of alternative commuting options.
