Take an investigative journey through the place we call home. Let’s discover together the elements of our town that make it special. We will look at details and characteristics of buildings, streets, and other spaces and identify their successes and failures. We will investigate the advantages and disadvantages of renovating historic buildings, adding to them, and designing new architecture that fits within our town.
Megan Myers, Architect, LEED AP, Interior Designer — Megan received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from The University of Illinois. She received her Master of Architecture from The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, an immersive, non-traditional school that emphasizes the philosophy of “learn by doing.” Recently Megan opened her own architecture business, Side Road Studio, in Alton.
Dave Myers, Architect, LEED AP — Dave received a Bachelor of Architecture from Philadelphia University. He also received his Master of Architecture from The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. Dave is currently working for PGAV Destinations in St. Louis, Missouri. At PGAV, he was recently involved with "Space Shuttle Atlantis,” Kennedy Space Center’s new home to the last Space Shuttle ever to launch into space. Dave served as one of the project architects, and the onsite architect during construction. A local project of note designed by Dave while working as an architect at Trivers in St. Louis, MO, is The Sanctuary Orientation Center at The Audubon Center at Riverlands located in West Alton, MO.
Together Megan and Dave have many years experience creating and developing projects from the very early stages through completion. Their experiences include projects in education, residential, financial, health care, historic renovation/restoration, entertainment, and hospitality. They live in Alton in a renovated bungalow.
