Free Workshop Explains How To Lower High Property Taxes
Sivia Business & Legal Services, P.C. (SBLS) is offering a free workshop on June 23, 2014, which will review the property tax appeal process, step by step, explain the terms involved, and how property taxes are assessed.
Additionally, the workshop explains what you can do to have your property taxes reduced. Often, a reduction can save property owners hundreds to thousands of dollars each year.
“There are a lot of people receiving property tax assessments based on home values during the housing boom,” explains Sivia. “But market values aren’t the same now and property tax assessments should reflect that.”
Sivia routinely offers free seminars to the public, but he says the property tax appeal seminar is always popular.
The free event will be held at the Brighton Municipal Building from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. The seminar is open to the public.
