Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited blood disorder. It is the result of a genetic mutation. The mutation causes the painful sickle, or crescent shape of the cells. Sickle Cell diseases have been found in individuals from Greece, Italy, Syria, Southern India, the Caribbean Island, South and Central America and here in our own community.

8:oo am: Registration, Alton Middle School parking lot $25 Adults $15 Children 10:00 am: Walk Starts ~ 1 mile on paved roads through the park 12:00 pm: Lunch, music and games for all paid participants 2:00 pm: Clean up Sponsor by forming a team or at any walk level.
