The VFW Post 1308 in Alton is having a Benefit Dinner the 12th of April at 6:00pm.
The benefit is being held so that the ritual team may purchase new uniforms. The Ritual Team does 100+ burials for veterans a year. The uniforms they have now they can no longer get and they have men that would like to join the team but cannot get a uniform. The current uniforms are WWII era uniforms. It costs around $400.00 to outfit a member for a uniform. They are looking to purchase 20 uniforms for the team.
Please support The VFW Ritual Team and the volunteer ceremonies they do for our departed Veterans. The guest speaker wil be the Honorable Senator William Haine.
