The People in Business networking group invites men and women of the business community to their first CareerMinder group meeting from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., on Jun23, 2009 at the GC Cuisine Banquet Facility, 1230 E. University Drive, Edwardsville, IL .
This meeting is the kick-off event for a new networking group designed to help unemployed or underemployed individuals with the job search process. All attendees will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and tell what type of job they are seeking. Everyone is encouraged to bring resumes to exchange with other job-seekers. A guest speaker will present pertinent job-seeking tips.
The People in Business networking groups were started in 2004 to help build a support system and outreach connection for small companies and entrepreneurs. This new project provides a similar format to help job-seekers in an informal networking format. It provides a convenient information exchange resource group. Membership is free. The $5.00 attendance fee is payable to the restaurant for a light snack and a drink. Attendees are encouraged to arrive ten minutes early to network before the meeting and bring a personal contact card if they wish to do so.
