Relay For Life of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Kicks Off on Thursday, February 4

(Glen Carbon, IL - January 29, 2010) � Friends, neighbors and cancer survivors are coming together for an energizing celebration on Thursday, February 4, 6 p.m. � 8 p.m., at the Glen Carbon Community/Senior Center in Glen Carbon to kick off the 2010 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon. Anyone who wishes to form a team, volunteer to help with planning the event, or wants to hear more about this year�s highlights is encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Relay For Life is an overnight event to �Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back.� The event celebrates the lives of those who have had cancer, remembers loved ones lost to the disease and rallies individuals to fight back against a disease that takes too much. Teams raise funds, before and during the event, to fight cancer. The Relay For Life of Edwardsville/Glen Carbon will be held from 7 p.m. on Friday, June 18 to 7 a.m., Saturday, June 19 at Edwardsville High School.
