2010 Relay For Life of Jersey County Planning Continues

Relay Event Slated for the First Weekend in June

(Jerseyville, IL - November 30, 2009) - Planning for the 2010 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Jersey County continues and volunteers are still needed for the Planning Committee as well as for the Relay teams. A Planning Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Jerseyville Public Library starting at 6 p.m. Those interested in helping to put on the 2010 event can attend the meeting and find out how they can lend a hand to this year�s Relay. Returning members of the Planning Committee are also expected to attend. The Jersey County Relay event is slated to take place on June 5-6 at Jersey Community High School. New this year, the event will be held overnight from Saturday afternoon to Sunday at sunrise, rather than from Friday afternoon to Saturday sunrise as it has in previous years. Jersey

County�s Relay For Life Kickoff will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the JCH Wellness Center. From now through Kickoff, teams receive 50 percent off their registration fee for signing up early. The fee is $50 now through Kickoff; after Kickoff the team registration fee will be $100.
