Residential Options, Inc. To Hold Open House for Eco-Friendly Remodel

(Alton, IL - December 10, 2009) � Residential Options, Inc., an affiliate company of Challenge Unlimited, Inc., will host an open house at their newly remodeled eco-friendly residential group home located at 1824 Main Street in Alton.

The event will take place on December 15 and will be open to the public from 1pm to 3pm with refreshments served.

The remodel is the first of many for Residential Options, Inc. As one of 12 residential group homes, the Main Street location has served as the test model. The eco-friendly updates include: an energy audit, thermal imaging, weatherization efforts, additional insulation, recyclable carpet, low VOC paints, energy star appliances, compact florescent lighting, high efficiency HVAC system, tankless water heating system, and high efficiency bathroom vents.

The remaining 11 residential group homes will be receiving the same remodel as the organization�s budget allows.

Though Residential Options plans to see a future financial return on investment, the social aspect of the eco-friendly remodel is just as important. Carbon footprint reduction is a goal of doing business for both Residential Options and Challenge Unlimited. The organization is currently implementing environmental awareness into the company culture through monthly educational sessions.
