ALTON � (January 12, 2009) The Jacoby Arts Center is offering a daylong workshop designed for artists who need to kick-start, reinvigorate, or fine-tune their careers. The workshop will be held on Saturday, January 24 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jacoby Arts Center, 627 E. Broadway, Alton. The cost for the workshop is $40. Advance registration is recommended.
During the workshop, professionals from the community will discuss strategies and opportunities as well as provide guidance on issues surrounding contracts, taxes, and copyright. The professionals will also work with attendees on updating portfolios, including images, resume, artist statements, and more.
