ALTON, IL � (October 21, 2008) Goblins, witches, ghosts, and pumpkins are just part of the festivities planned for the Jacoby Arts Center�s third annual Halloween Party scheduled for Friday, October 31 from 6 to 10 p.m. Complimentary chili and snacks will be provided, and a cash bar will be available for soft drinks, wine, and beer. Tickets are $8 for adults, $2 for children 16 and under. Adults can receive � off the price of a ticket by bringing in a carved pumpkin. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. You can bring the whole family, enjoy the party, and watch the Alton Halloween Parade as it passes by on Broadway.
The JAC also presents a free family art activity on Saturday, November 8. Taking place from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon at the Jacoby Arts Center, ARTSPLASH! gives children the chance to explore their artistic side through play and creativity. All ages are invited along with their families. Parents or guardians must accompany their children. This activity is held every month on the second Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon.
