Inspiring classes and special events are on tap at the Jacoby Arts Center

Kids Classes

Pottery Studio I
Kids will enjoy making pots, cups, vases and animals from hand-building and coil construction techniques.

Instructor: Susan Elmendorf
Dates: Sat. Oct. 6-27 (4 Sessions)
Time: 10:30-12:30
Ages: 7-9
Tuition: $65

Painting Studio
This class is designed for kids with some experience in painting. We will concentrate on color, space and perspective.

Drawing Studio
Students will be challenged to draw a variety of subjects from sight and memory. Drawing techniques will be demonstrated with a variety of media.

Dates: Tues., Oct. 16-Nov. 6 (4 Sessions)
Time: 3:45-5 p.m.
Ages: 10-13

Adult Classes

Pottery Studio
Students will develop skills in hand-building, coil and texture techniques to make bowls and vases.

Transforming the Surface
Students will explore how the development of a drawing surface influences the work of art with an emphasis on using charcoal and pastels.

Dates: Thurs. Oct.18-Nov. 15 (5 Sessions)
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Tuition: $100

The Jacoby Arts Center is open Tuesday through Saturday 10- 5; Sunday, Noon to 4.
