(Edwardsville, IL - February 1, 2010) � National Bank at Edwardsville is pleased to announce that
Gary Hoggatt Jr., AVP - Branch Manager and Mortgage Loan Officer, has been
recognized as the 2009 Ambassador of the Year by The Edwardsville Glen
Carbon Chamber of Commerce. Gary was honored at the Chamber's 86th Annual
Dinner held at the Morris University Center Meridian Ballroom at SIUE on
Saturday, January 30, 2010.
"I was very surprised," said Hoggatt. "It is so nice to have your efforts
recognized. I just ended my third year as an ambassador for the Ed/Glen
Chamber and am looking forward to working on the Board of Directors in 2010.
What a great way to end my time on the Ambassador Committee." The
Ambassador of the Year is an annual award presented to one of the members of
the chamber's Ambassador Committee.
"I enjoy working with the chamber and getting involved in the different
committees. I have found my involvement to be invaluable to my business, as
I have built strong relationships with many different people in the
community." Hoggatt continued. "Volunteering with the chamber not only
helps my business, but it helps the community. We are all working together
to gain exposure and grow the businesses in our local community."
At National Bank, Hoggatt is responsible for residential lending and
managing the Edwardsville Banking Center. He is the Security Officer for
the bank and also manages the bank's web site. Hoggatt has 24 years
experience in the banking and finance industry.
Hoggatt volunteers as an Ambassador for the River Bend Growth Association
and is currently serving as the committee co-chair. He is actively involved
in his church, Faith Baptist Church of Godfrey, where he teaches a
young-adults Sunday School class. Hoggatt and his wife, Donna, live in Alton
with their two children. "I can not thank my family enough for their
support and their sacrifice as I give my time to many different projects,"
said Hoggatt.
National Bank currently serves south central Illinois with 11 banking
locations. The Edwardsville Banking Center, located at 1611 Troy Road,
opened in May 1997.
