EDWARDSVILLE – Bailey Carpenter, a freshman at the University of Arkansas (U of A) and 2015 graduate of Triad High School, has been accepted into the U of A Honors College, which unites the university’s top undergraduate students with top professors.
Bailey is an animal science major in the U of A’s Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, and recently completed her first semester with a 4.0 grade point average.

Acceptance to the honors college is based on standardized test score(s), and high school and U of A GPA. The Honors College is a community of students and faculty who have a passion for discovery and learning from each other. Students partner with faculty mentors on research, and courses are taught by elite professors, typically in small sections.
