Looking for healing?

Many choose prayer-based treatment

ELSAH, IL:Why, in this modern age, do many thoughtful people opt for a non-material form of healthcare? Is it safe? Does it work? International speaker and practitioner of Christian Science healing, Marceil DeLacy says, The laws of God that made Christian healing possible in the time of Christ Jesus are being practiced effectively today by thousands of people throughout the world. This prayer-based approach to life and health is changing lives daily.

DeLacy, a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, will explore this subject in an inspirational and informative lecture titled Christian Science: What? Why? How? on Friday, May 1, 7:30 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 53 LaSalle Street, Elsah, Illinois.

In her hour-long talk, DeLacy introduces the revolutionary ideas shared in the classic text on Christian healing: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and explains how this book relates to the Bible and how its study has impacted generations of people around the world. DeLacy explains how spiritual healing is done and how it not only restores health, but gives a higher purpose and meaning to every aspect of life. Examples will be shared of lives healed and transformed by understanding cause and effect to be spiritual rather than material.

Raised by Christian Science parents, Marceil DeLacys lifelong guides have been the Bible and Science and Health. These books have nurtured in her a strong commitment to helping others. This led her, over 20 years ago, to become a practitioner of Christian Science healing and later a teacher of this Science. Additionally, her volunteer work has taken her to such places as inner city jails in New York City, Afghan refugee camps in Pakistan, a cafe for recovering addicts in Seattle, and a rural village in Guatemala. Marceil is a dynamic speaker who has given numerous lectures at universities, hospitals, churches, health conferences, and many other venues. Her home base is in Seattle, Washington.
