Any person who is seeking job information is invited to attend the CareerMinder group meeting from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m., on June 23, 2009 at the GC Cuisine Banquet Facility, 1230 E. University Drive, Edwardsville, IL .
This meeting is the kick-off event for a new networking group designed to help unemployed or underemployed individuals with the job search process. All attendees will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and exchange job search ideas. Everyone is encouraged to bring resumes to exchange with other job-seekers. Ashley Green, from Extra Help Inc, will be the guest speaker. She will offer a short presentation of ideas and pertinent job-seeking tips.
This new project will be linked to a website where job seekers can post their resumes. The meeting is designed to provide a convenient sharing, motivation, and resource option. Membership is free. A $5.00 attendance fee is payable to the restaurant for a light snack and a drink. Attendees are encouraged to arrive ten minutes early to network before the meeting and bring a personal contact card if they wish to do so.
