Captians of the River Bend Awards

GODFREY, ILLINOIS... The Growth Association of Southwestern Illinois has announced the winners of the Captain of the River Bend Awards. For the past fourteen years the awards have been given to businesses for their outstanding efforts in the areas of Community Involvement and Economic Enhancement. The 2007 awardees are:

Nominations for the awards were reviewed by a Growth Association committee chaired by Melissa Erker, chairman of The Growth Association of Southwestern Illinois and Public Affairs Supervisor for ConocoPhillips Wood River Refinery. The awards will be presented at the Growth Association’s Annual State of the River Bend Luncheon to be held Thursday, October 18, 2007 in The Commons on Lewis & Clark Community College campus beginning at 11a.m. The luncheon will feature guest speaker CEO and President of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Douglas Whitley.
