2009 Relay For Life of Jersey County Planning Underway

Team Fundraising Activities Already Begun; Relay Event Slated for the First Weekend in June

(Jerseyville, IL � October 21, 2008) � Planning for the 2009 American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Jersey County is underway and volunteers are needed for the steering committee as well as for the Relay teams. A Committee Recruitment Rally will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Jersey Community High School cafeteria from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Rally will be held in an open-house style, allowing those interested in participating to stop by and get further information about the Relay For Life Steering Committee positions.

The River Clan Relay For Life team is hosting a Longaberger Game Night on Thursday, October 23 at the Grafton American Legion. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the games start at 7 p.m. The cost is $20 for 20 bingo game sheets. Extra bingo game sheet packets can be purchased for $10. You are asked not to share packets, but instead purchase them and help raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
