Workshops Focus on Increasing QuickBooks Efficiency
The accounting firm, People in Business, Inc., is offering QuickBooks workshops on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $60 per person. There is a lunch break from 11 a.m. - Noon and an open forum question and answer period following each class.
The workshops help businesses maximize efficiency by understanding the operational and bookkeeping concepts that guide the QuickBooks system. The condensed and interactive workshops use a nationally published top-selling text book and are taught by a CPA.
Every business produces stacks of financial paperwork during the year. Proper recording of these transactions help managers analyze their company so they may respond quickly to changing economic events, answer questions from their bank, and maintain appropriate profit margins. Understanding QuickBooks helps to streamline information processing, speed accounting functions, and reduce bookkeeping problems.
This class is also appropriate training for anyone seeking to understand beginning bookkeeping as part of a career enhancement or job-search effort.
Workshops are scheduled weekly on most Thursdays. March and April dates are as follows: March 26, April 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2009. Class attendance is limited to eight participants. Textbooks are provided for in-class use. If you wish to purchase a text for your personal notes, the book is QuickBooks 2009, by Kathy Ivens.
Tuition should be paid in advance by mailing a check or money order, for $60, to People in Business, Inc, 2110 Troy Road, Suite I, Edwardsville, IL 62025. Reservations are required and may be arranged by calling 618-655-0930. Please contact Susan M. Young, CPA at 618-334-8887 if you have questions.
