Ground was broken on Friday April 7th for The Villas of Holly Brook, an assisted living facility that also offers a memory care residence as well. The private-pay facility will be located in Bethalto off Highway 111 with GRP Mechanical directly to its east and St. Louis Regional Airport to its west – currently the undeveloped land does not have an address. On hand for the ceremony from The Villas of Holly Brook (the Villas), were co-owners Chad and Hadley Phillips, the Phillips’ other partner, and father, Illinois State Representative Reginald Phillips, 110 House District, was not available to attend. Also on hand to celebrate the groundbreaking for the new 50 room assisted living and 28-room memory care facility was the Villas Regional Director, Jeff Mathews, Riverbend Growth Association (RBGA) President Monica Bristow, RBGA Director of Member Services, Trish Holmes, and about a dozen RBGA Ambassadors. Representing the Village of Bethalto was Zoning Director Tim Brown who welcomed the Villas on behalf of the Village of Bethalto. Brown said it’s been an amazing experience working with the Villas group so far and that “the Village definitely needed the growth.” When asked by Bristow for an estimate on when the facility would open, Chad Phillips said “We’re looking to be open in about 12-months.” He went on to say “If we could cut that down we’d be happy to, but Mother Nature weighs in on what we are doing.” To learn more about the Villas or to get on a waiting list go to the Villas of Holly Brook website.
