Start your Monday morning with conversations that matter and stories that connect the Riverbend community.
At 9:20 AM, Sara Bennett joins us from OSF Saint Anthony's Health Center to talk about the upcoming Community Lunch and Learn: Conversations That Connect – Parenting Teens Today. Parenting teenagers can feel like a balancing act between guidance and independence, and Sara will share insight from her work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker supporting teens and families. We’ll discuss practical communication strategies, how parents can stay connected during challenging stages of development, and how this upcoming Lunch and Learn on March 11 at 11:30 AM at OSF Saint Anthony’s aims to give parents real-world tools and support.
At 10:35 AM, HD Key joins the show to talk about several organizations working to improve the health and well-being of veterans through activity and community. HD is an OIF Army Veteran and works with Team River Runner, Team Red White and Blue, and the upcoming Sierra Club Military Outdoors chapter launching in the St. Louis region. We’ll talk about their mission, the impact outdoor recreation has on veteran wellness, and an upcoming event planned at Pere Marquette State Park designed to bring veterans together through activity, camaraderie, and connection.
