Mustache March for PD discusses Fill the Pantry drive and support for local police departments

On Our Daily Show, host Sydney Sinks talks with Tina Bennett and Wesley Strowmatt of Mustache March for PD about the group’s Fill the Pantry food drive, held in honor of Officer Blake Snyder. The drive is scheduled for November 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Alton Physical Therapy in Alton. Donations of nonperishable food and personal-care items will support five local pantries and community programs, including blessing bags distributed by officers. Organizers also describe drop-off help and cash donations as options for people who want to contribute.

Bennett and Strowmatt discuss the organization’s year-round work with 15 local police departments, including grants for equipment and other needs, and fundraising to help officers attend Police Week in Washington, D.C. They also describe community participation from places including Roxana, Jerseyville, Grafton and Carlinville. The interview presents these efforts as ongoing community support, not as a decision or announcement by a government body.
