Ty Bechel, Cora Miller and committee member Jill Moon discuss Laugh for a Cause, a comedy fundraiser planned for the Wood River Moose Lodge on October 24 at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature five comedians from around the country and two local performers, including one making a first comedy appearance. Proceeds are intended to help launch Bechel’s nonprofit and support its work with organizations in the Illinois Riverbend, Metro East and surrounding region.
The conversation covers the nonprofit’s proposed services, which include strategic support and professional development for nonprofits, as well as the programs Anchor Up Recovery and Ignite Family Recovery Support Services. The guests also discuss event sponsors, ticket outlets and a raffle. They joined Our Daily Show Interviews to share details about the fundraiser and the organization’s plans.
