Dogs for Paws supports Alton pet food pantry serving nearly 40 families a month

Father Garron Daniels of the Episcopal Parish of Alton discusses Dogs for Paws, the parish’s annual fundraiser for its pet food pantry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. The pantry provides dog and cat food at no cost and serves nearly 40 families each month, helping people keep their pets when household budgets are tight.

The conversation covers the event’s planned vendors, live music, food, pet blessings and free rabies and distemper vaccinations from Great Rivers Animal Hospital. Daniels says the gathering is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s, 10 East Third Street in Alton.
