On April 1st of this year a group of business friends and associates decided to start a ‘Mustache March 4PD’ fund raising campaign. Fund-raising ran through March and culminate with a concert by the Glendale Riders on Saturday, April 1. The successful activity resulted in over $20,000 being distributed among eight police departments from across the Riverbend. The Alton Police Department was a recipient of the some of the funds raised by the Mustache March 4PD and in an effort to pay-it-forward wanted to show its appreciation to the community it serves. On Saturday December 16th, Alton Police Officers were at Hit-n-Run’s North Alton location pumping gas for unsuspecting patrons of the convenience store/gas station.
