Tim Borman of the Alton Owls Club joins Our Daily Show to discuss the club’s history, from its founding in 1942 to its role as a gathering place and community venue. He also describes the club’s Fall Fest, scheduled for November 7, with doors opening at 5 p.m., barbecue dinner at 6 p.m. and the Owls Band playing from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $15 per person or $25 per couple, and the event is for adults 21 and over. Raffles and a cash bar are planned.
Borman explains the event’s bag raffle, the club’s community fundraising and its availability for private gatherings such as weddings and birthday parties. The conversation also covers the Owls Club’s origins and its location on Blair Avenue in Alton.
