Rebecca and Elizabeth of Friends of Leclaire preview the 34th annual Leclaire Park Fest, a community celebration at Leclaire Park in Edwardsville. They describe it as a chance to gather with neighbors, enjoy local food and crafts, and learn about the neighborhood’s history and architecture.
The festival is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Highlights discussed include chicken and dumplings and other festival food, local artisans and authors, a used book sale benefiting the American Cancer Society, a vintage vehicle display, music, children’s activities, history exhibits and trolley tours. Friends of Leclaire also discusses how festival proceeds support the park’s upkeep, beautification and preservation of local history.
