On Our Daily Show, host Sydney Sinks talks with Beth McGlasson of the Jersey County Historical Society about the society’s 33rd Apple Fest, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 601 North State Street in Jerseyville. The event is set to feature more than 40 vendors, live entertainment, historic-building tours, food and children’s pioneer chores and crafts.
McGlasson also describes the society’s historic sites and museum, including the Cheney House, Lone Star School and collections of local artifacts and wedding dresses. She discusses the society’s school field trips, upcoming seasonal programs and genealogy research center, which has family files and is open Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
