Description

Montauk Trout Cabin On 3.82+- Acres Near Current River And Montauk State Park In Dent County, Missouri The Montauk Trout Cabin is a 3.82+- acre recreational property in Dent County, one-half mile from Montauk State Park and adjacent to the Tan Vat Access on the Current River. From here you are set up for trout fishing and floating on the Current River, with thousands of acres of Ozark National Scenic Riverways and Mark Twain National Forest land nearby for hunting and hiking. The Current River is just a short distance; walk down to the river in the morning, fish the day, and be back on the porch by supper. The cabin is an older 2-bedroom, 1-bath home with a screened wraparound porch overlooking the valley. The porch gives you a large covered outdoor space for evenings after a day on the river. Inside are the kitchen, living and dining areas, a full bath and storage, with a basement utility area below. Water comes from a well that is in service, and the cabin is located outside of the flood zone. Two barns/outbuildings and a newer enclosed shed give you storage for boats, kayaks, fishing gear, tools and ATVs. Two 30-amp RV hookups let you bring campers in addition to the cabin, which works for multiple owners, groups of friends, or a short-term rental setup. A covered pergola sits on a concrete patio with a built-in firepit for additional outdoor entertaining. There is ample parking for vehicles, trailers, boats and campers, and a recently updated gravel drive runs through a shared gated entrance with keycode access. If you want a Montauk property built around trout fishing and floating the Current River, this one has the location, cabin, storage, parking and room for guests to do it.
