Zachary Miller

Zachary Aaron Miller, 39, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri. 

He was born February 20, 1980 in St. Louis, the son of Roger D. and Rebecca J. (Maynard) Miller of St. Louis.  He married Janey (Brauer) Miller on August 6, 2017 at the Brauer Patch family farm in Defiance, Missouri and she survives.

Zach was a packaging professional and sales manager, starting in 2004 with Gateway Packaging and working with Pro Ampac in Granite City with 15 years of dedicated service.  Zach graduated from Depauw University with a degree in Political Science and later graduated from Washington University Executive MBA program.


He was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity and the Chamber of Commerce of Southwestern Madison County.  He had a love for music, watching sports, was a movie buff and enjoyed the outdoors.  He cherished his family and will be remembered for the special times shared with family and friends.  Zach had a quick wit, was truly a selfless person and kindhearted in so many ways throughout his life. 

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is survived by two stepsons, Finn Thompson and Mark Thompson of St. Louis; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Marshall Winslow of St. Louis; two nieces; Cora and Lydia Winslow; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Marie Brauer of St. Louis; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jason and Sarah Brauer of St. Louis; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ashley and Joel Foote of New York; nine nieces and nephews; many aunts; uncles; other extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Harold and Ruth Maynard and Elmer and Ruby Miller.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Salem United Methodist Church, 1200 S. Lindbergh Blvd. St. Louis, Missouri 63131 on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Visitation will continue at the church on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:30 a.m.  Reverend Mark Maynard will officiate.

A luncheon will follow the service at the Frontenac Hilton Ambassadeur Ballroom. 

Private family burial will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.  Memorials may be Mercy Health Foundation, 615 S. New Ballas Road, St. Louis, MO 63141 in memory of Zach Miller for the benefit of Mercy ICU.
