It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Wyatt Dean Sibley, 19, of Kampsville. Wyatt is the son of Lance and Brianna Sibley and admired older brother of Walker Sibley.
Wyatt graduated from Calhoun High School in May of 2025 and went into the workforce as an iron worker with Local 392. Wyatt had an exceptional work ethic and enjoyed his work time. After work, Wyatt could be found helping around the farm with his dad, Grandpa Paul, and Uncle Chuck and Uncle Lance. He especially enjoyed his time at Squier Farms with his Great Uncle Chuck Squier.
Wyatt had a passion for anything outdoors. His favorite pastime in the spring was turkey hunting. He loved to sit in the woods with friends and family waiting on that elusive bird. Many hunts ended with him bringing home turkeys and mushrooms. Fall and winter seasons meant sitting in a duck blind and goose pit. Many evenings and weekends he would be sitting in a tree stand. In true Uncle Lance fashion, he was waiting on a “Boonie” to walk in front of him. Wyatt also enjoyed fishing from the shore or in a boat waiting on a “lunker.”
Wyatt had a love for so many things. He loved music and could name any “banger” from any genre and decade. He had a fascination for Dodge Cummins 6 speed manual transmission trucks, and John Deere tractors, just like his Dad. Wyatt loved to walk the farm in search for arrow heads. His collection was growing. Wyatt could always find a deer shed when no one else could. Wyatt had two special loves, Beretta and Fern, his and Walker’s chocolate labs.
Wyatt had a beautiful smile that could light up a room. You could see it especially when he was spending time with his friends. He loved his hours spent working on derby cars, building duck blinds, and just hanging out.
In his younger years, Wyatt was a talented “sharp shooter” like his Grandpa Norm. He and his family would spend summers traveling around the Midwest with the Golden Eagle Youth Trap Team and the Calhoun High School Trap Team. He helped lead his team to 3 high school national championships and numerous SCTP and AIM national titles. Wyatt was well known as an individual shooter winning many accolades.
Although Wyatt’s time on this Earth was short his impact was immense. Wyatt was always willing to lend a hand. A jack of all trades he could be found working on vehicles, hanging drywall, replacing roofs, finishing a hunting cabin, doing taxidermy, and detailing vehicles. For these moments and many more, Wyatt will be remembered.
Wyatt will be greatly missed by his parents and brother along with his paternal grandparents Paul and Susie Sibley, great grandmother Rheta Poore; numerous aunts and uncles, including Cindy (Brad) Klocke, Chuck Titus, Lance Titus, Shane (Lori) Sibley, Stacy (Frank Jr) Godar, Mindy Sibley, and cousins: Jocie Klocke, Kassidy (Landry) Prough, Wesley (Jordan) Klocke, Alexis (AJ) Hillen, Quinlin Leavell, Clayton Titus, Keaton Titus, Shane Jr, Sarah (Andy) Pennock, Kristin Sibley, Jack (Brianna) Sibley, Emily (Brad) Eberlin, Elani (Drake) Pohlman, Landon (Jessica) Godar, and many great cousins.
Wyatt was proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Norman and Joyce Titus, maternal great grandparents Raphael and Phyllis Snyders and Raymond and Hettie Titus; paternal great grandpa Bill Poore and paternal great grandparents Howard and Wilma Sibley.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Calhoun High School. Funeral Mass will be Thursday September 17, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Norbert Church. Burial will be at the family farm in Kampsville following the Mass.
