William Solomon

William K. Solomon, 84 of Brighton, died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 3:25 P.M..

He was born to the late William & Juanita L. (Heilig) Solomon in St. Louis, Missouri on October 14, 1932.

William married Melva Yvonne (Ford) Solomon on November 4, 1961 in Medora, Illinois.  She died May 4, 2005.

A retired Union Metal Worker, William also served our country in the United States Navy.

Survivors include 2 sons; Dan Solomon and his significant other Ginny Ford both of Brighton, Mike & his wife Gwen Solomon of Brighton, 1 grandson son; Colin and his wife Stefanie Solomon of Godfrey, 1 great grandson; Alexander Solomon of Godfrey, 2 brothers and their wives; Fred & Diane Solomon of St. Charles, Missouri, Robert & Susan Solomon of Washington, Missouri

Besides his wife and parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Dixie Dorn, Jeannie Steiner

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton

Pastor Steven Helfrich will officiate

Burial will take place in Brighton Cemetery

Memorials may be made to the 5A's Animal Shelter or The American Diabetes Association
