William D. Oliver, 88, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born Jan. 30, 1930 in Alton, he was the son of Forrest and Evelyn Oliver.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mold maker for Owens-IL Glassworks.
He married Gwendolyn M. Ash Dec. 7, 1956 in Alton, and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage. She survives, along with three children, Daniel (Connie) Knight of Wichita, KS, Brian Oliver (Sue Zumbehl) of Lake St. Louis, MO, and Laurel Galeener of Wood River; six grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 23 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
