William "Cody" Dowdy, 32, of East Alton Passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
He was born November 10, 1986 in Newport, Arkansas; he was raised in Alton. He married Marcia Delp December 19, 2008; his marriage was sealed in temple July 19, 2017.
Cody was previously employed at Liberty Fence. He enjoyed helping friends, painting and building but what he really loved to do is spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Dowdy of East Alton, mother Edna (Watkins) Lansdon and husband, Kenny of Alton; father, William Keith Dowdy of East Alton; son, William Anthony Dowdy of East Alton; daughter, Rosa Maria Dowdy of East Alton; brother, Johnatan Watkins of Jonesboro, AR and Patrick Cline of East Alton; two sisters, Falisa (Alex) Rabozzi of Godfrey and Victoria Cline (Sandy Nasello) of Wood River; five nephews, Rynn Cline, Weston Watkins, Joseph and Jaxon Rabozzi and Thomas Cline and a niece, Alayna Rabozzi.
The family will hold a memorial service at 1 pm. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6500 Humbert Rd, Godfrey. Everyone that knew him is encouraged to attend.
