William “Bud” Wayne Adams Jr., age 68, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Bud was born on June 6, 1956, in Granite City, IL, a son of the late William Adams Sr., and Maxine (Keeton) Adams.
Bud was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country with honor. On Mach 6, 1982, Bud married his soulmate, Pamela Robins in Pontoon Beach, IL. Bud retired from U.S. Steel as a weigher after many years of dedicated service.
He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Bud was also a jack of all trades, he could fix, build or repair anything he put his mind to. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. Bud will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Adams; and by two sisters, Vicki Jolly and Kathy Mike.
His is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Adams of Granite City, IL; loving sons, Billy (Kristin) Adams and Christopher W. (Becky) Adams, both of Granite City, IL; dear sisters, Cindy Adams of Madison, IL, Angie Davis of Granite City, IL and Sarah (Buddy) Vinson of Granite City, IL; proud grandfather to Cole Adams and Daphine Becker; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, a memorial visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Irwin Chapel, Granite City, IL. The memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. on Friday, with Pastor Sharon Autenrieth officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to American Diabetes Association. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
