Willard D. Draper, Sr., 95, passed away 8:08 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 24, 1921 in Las Animas, CO, he was the son of Chester and Minnie (Darnell) Draper.
A World War II army veteran, serving in Africa and Italy, he was employed as a truck driver for the Winchester Division of the Olin Corporation before retiring. He enjoyed wood working, gardening and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, Willard, Jr. (Pebbles) Draper of Brighton, Bobby Garrison of Bowling Green, MO; daughter, Sandra (David) Olmstead of Alton; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Draper in Alabama.
Preceding in death were his parents; son, Jerry Garrison; three daughters, Annette, Bonnie Sue and Tina Marie Draper; and two brothers, Clifford and Edwin Draper.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, in Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
